Mohamed Morshed is a dedicated education advocate and family engagement specialist, driven by his commitment to strengthening connections among families, schools, and communities. Growing up in Yemen and attending high school in New York City, he brings a unique perspective on the importance of family engagement in diverse educational settings. Mohamed's personal experiences have fueled his determination to create inclusive and supportive environments where all families feel valued and empowered. He holds a Master of Fine Arts in Creative Writing from Hunter College and a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology and Psychology from The City College of New York. His passion is in storytelling and its transformative power to change lives, strengthen relationships, and build communities. In his role as a Home-School Partnership Specialist at the New York City Department of Education, Mohamed focuses on developing effective family engagement programs, systems, and structures that prioritize the connection between school and families.
