Dr. Tereka Williams

Dr. Tereka Williams is the Executive Director of Federal Programs for Gwinnett County Public Schools, the largest school district in Georgia and the 12th largest school district in the nation. A practitioner for more than 25 years, Dr. Williams has dedicated her life to helping schools engage in practices that make equity actionable. She has served as a leader on the elementary, middle and high school levels in Title Ischools and is keenly aware of the impact that effective family engagement can have on children at every level. Her previous role as a middle school principal in a turnaround school made her see family and community engagement as a necessity, not an option.
